BIPOC Mental Health Month

Welcome July! Thank you for being the start to the second half of 2020. We’ve been waiting for you. July is BIPOC Mental Health Month. BIPOC= Black and Indigenous People Of Color.

BIPOC Mental Health Month began in 2008 as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and has been observed each July since to acknowledge “the unique struggles that underrepresented groups face regarding mental illness in the United States.” While we share many similarities, it is important to acknowledge and validate the unique experiences of marginalized people.

Insightful moment: What has your experience with mental health care been like?
